Catchup

I have not given up on on my blog! I have just struggled to find the time and energy over the last 2 months to update things. Obviously we have been very busy here in Oz but busy in a good way. I will try and get lots of pics and videos up online over the next few weeks so you can catch up with our lives. What's been happening? Well I started another new job in march, working part-time for the Community Dental Service in Brunswick. Combining this with my work in private practice in Essendon has filled up my week nicely, after many months of work uncertainty. I am enjoying my new role with the Community Dental Service. We see a wide range of people from all different backgrounds and cultures. We are kept busy and the staff are all very nice.

Meanwhile Julia and Isla are going well. Isla is a busy bee and we spend most of our time running around after her as she decides she wants to climb into the cutlery drawer, or fill up the bath with spoons,  or spin around in circles, or kiss the television, or put pants on her head, or smear vegemite on the walls. She has quite a few words now including: mummy, daddy, teddy, yeys, no no no no no no, hot, cold, up, woof woof woof, nana, bubeye, eyes, noose, mooth and 'thereyooarrr'She likes eating bananas, cheese, vegemite, chicken casserole, bark and lots and lots of strawberries.

She is sleeping well on and off - no sooner do we have a good week where she 'sleeps through' than she gets ill with a bug and is up and unsettled at night again. She only has 7 teeth. She has crazy curly hair that gets crazier the more tired she gets. She likes putting on hats and shoes. She goes to child care once a week, swimming, mini-maestros  the library, the park.

Julia is doing great as well though she is very busy taking care of Isla. Since February we've managed a few trips up to Ballarat and Daylesford and we had a nice anniversary weekend as well. More details to follow soon!Unfortunately we've all been sick this most recent weekend - Julia had a horrible virus that left her in bed, Isla's had a nasty cough that required antibiotics from the doctor and I've had a bit of a cold myself. We were lucky to have Ange, Larry and Nicole to help out over the last couple of days and thanks to them. I'm glad to say we are all feeling a bit better today and looking forward to getting on with our week.
